Review of ‘Before you open the Bible’

‘Before you open the Bible’ by Matt Smethurst. a wonderful little booklet which reminded me of why I read my bible daily and reminded me of how I should do it. It is easy to forget when reading daily how to approach God’s word. I love how each time I read a passage of the bible it comes to life in a new way. Anyway back to the book.

This small book has nine chapters on postures for approaching God’s word. From starting in prayer, being expectant to letting it be Christ centred. It’s good to have a little book to remind me of this. One I will read again and again.

A book well worth reading if you struggle with reading your bible or never even started and also good for those who think they have their reading sorted.

May God bless you
