A relationship with God is not out of reach.

I came across this passage, while doing my bible reading this week, it is wonderful. Such good news.

God is not out of reach He is near at hand as close to you as your heart is to you. In other words inside you.

Deuteronomy 30 The Message

8-9 And you will make a new start, listening obediently to God, keeping all his commandments that I’m commanding you today. God, your God, will outdo himself in making things go well for you: you’ll have babies, get calves, grow crops, and enjoy an all-around good life. Yes, God will start enjoying you again, making things go well for you just as he enjoyed doing it for your ancestors.

10 But only if you listen obediently to God, your God, and keep the commandments and regulations written in this Book of Revelation. Nothing halfhearted here; you must return to God, your God, totally, heart and soul, holding nothing back.

11-14 This commandment that I’m commanding you today isn’t too much for you, it’s not out of your reach. It’s not on a high mountain—you don’t have to get mountaineers to climb the peak and bring it down to your level and explain it before you can live it. And it’s not across the ocean—you don’t have to send sailors out to get it, bring it back, and then explain it before you can live it. No. The word is right here and now—as near as the tongue in your mouth, as near as the heart in your chest. Just do it!

15 Look at what I’ve done for you today: I’ve placed in front of you
    Life and Good
    Death and Evil.

16 And I command you today: Love God, your God. Walk in his ways. Keep his commandments, regulations, and rules so that you will live, really live, live exuberantly, blessed by God, your God, in the land you are about to enter and possess.

WE are given the choice by God of living a good or evil life, of having life or death. In this Life means spending our time both here and in eternity with God in His presence day by day. Death means just the opposite having to spend life without God and with no eternity just death.

It is not a hard choice is it, having the creators blessing or not. What do we have to do you ask?

Love God first and foremost and love and treat your neighbor/enemy anyone else as you would want them to love and treat you.  Easy isn’t it.

No, well God has given us His Spirit to help us do it as well, He knows how hard it is to live the right way so He has supplied help in the way of His Spirit.  Jesus showed just how much God loves you, He died for you and me to clean our sins from us and make us right with God.  We all sin and fall short but Jesus and His Spirit helps us to live well and deal with our shortcomings. Isn’t that great we have such a caring loving God who wants to have a relationship with you and me, and He supplies the method for us to do it as well. Who else would and does do that?

We do not have to struggle to be perfect living life after life to try to get it right. We do not have to worry about the ledger of our life about the balance of good and evil  as many do. As followers of ‘IAM WHO IAM’ [God] we are saved through His love for us and because He wants to have us in His presence. He is a god of relationship and family, He wants to be in the relationship with us.

So why not Follow Christ and have this new life.

All you have to do is to ask.

Just say – Father God I am sorry for all I have done wrong in my life and for not living as you want me to. I now ask Jesus into my life, I open myself to His Spirit. Come in and help me to live my life the way you want me to. Be my guide and strength.  Amen

Now go and tell someone that you are a Christian, start to read the bible asking God to guide you, speak to others in any church for help in your new life.

May God bless you
