A week in Saundserfoot Wales.
We went here this year as it was my mum’s 80th and we gave her the choice of where to go. She decided to revisit our childhood holiday location. We went here many times as children camping and caravaning. It has many good memories for me.
We went to Caldey Island Tenby, walked to Wisemans Bridge from Saundsersfoot rather than the other way round as we did as children going through the tunnels. We also went to the Welsh National Botanic Gardens, something new.
We met a lovely church family at the Hebron Baptist church in Saundersfoot. We went there on the Sunday to worship, and on the Monday went to there harvest supper and quiz. That was lots of fun and they were really friendly, praying for Bern and I on our anniversary. 35 years of marriage this year.
One day while walking around the harbor we got chatting to a lady and her son and it turned out that they came from Mountain Ash which our church supports in wales. Such a small world. They were there for a big sailing event for a sailor who dies last year, her husband was in a boat dressed as a woman.
I always enjoy Caldey island, I found it very peaceful when I was a child and went on retreat there when I came to faith to find out what God wanted me to do. The Botanic Garden was wonderful, full of color and scent’s. The fresh air did my chest and sinuses good and cleared up the infection I had.
All in all a wonderful holiday.
Below some pictures from it.
