Advent thought

“Hes a God of Restoration (1)
I will restore to you Joel 2:25
Whatever life has taken from you, God can restore. He may not give you exactly what you want, but He will give you whats best. And even when you fall under His corrective hand through disobedience, if you repent, He will reinstate you to a place of blessing. You say, But what about the time Ive wasted, the opportunities Ive squandered, and the mess Ive made of my life? Sometimes I wonder if Ive fallen so low that even God cannot reach me.? No, theirs hope for you. The Bible says, Behold, the Lords hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; nor His ear heavy, that it cannot hear? (Isaiah 59:1 NKJV). After wasting all that hed inherited from his father, the Prodigal Son returned home, penniless and embarrassed. All he wanted was three square meals and a job in the servants quarters. But the moment he said, Forgive me, his father called for the best robe, the fattest cow, the newest shoes, and a ring of son-ship restoring him to his rightful place as a member of the family.

Advent is a time of waiting, a wait for the coming of new life, the light which will change the world. Jesus came to  restore the lost to Gods presence, You can not be too far from God that His hand can not reach you, His hand can reach to the deepest deaths and as far as the East is from the West. He will not force you to return but all you need to do is to call out from your heart and He will respond.

So no matter how low you thing you have sunk no matter how far you think you are from God, it fact He is closer that a hairs breath from you and waiting for you to ask.

One response to “Advent thought

  1. I read this later
    Psalm 40
1 I waited patiently for the Lord to help me,
and he turned to me and heard my cry.
2 He lifted me out of the pit of despair,
out of the mud and the mire.
He set my feet on solid ground
and steadied me as I walked along.
3 He has given me a new song to sing,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see what he has done and be amazed.
They will put their trust in the Lord.
