“The Day of The Barbarians” Review

“The Day of The Barbarians” by A Barbero

This is a book about one event the battle of Adrianople in AD378, when the Eastern half of the Roman Empire fought the Goths.

The book goes into who the Goths were and why they had entered Roman territory and all the events that lead up to this battle and then the aftermath.

A good look at the small amount of data we have and a concise analyses of it.

A interesting book well worth a read even if you have no interest in the period as the events still resonate in how we deal with peoples on the move, refuges economic and war.
